Mark 10:17-18 As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. "Good teacher," he asked, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" 18) Why do you call me good? Jesus answered. "No one is good except God alone."
A follower of Christ knows no one is good except God. There are two reasons a follower of Christ knows this to be true. One, Jesus was recorded through Mark by the Holy Spirit saying those words. And two, every soul part of every mind knows these words are true. Many humans block this truth from reaching their souls, but rejecting the truth does not make the truth false. Others do not hear this truth in their life, nor do they go to God and ask Him, but when they do, they love the truth, embrace it, and follow it till they die. Others hear and accept God's truth, but when confronted by persecution, they let the truth go, hang on to the lie and live in deception.
Does that mean God our Heavenly Father is good, and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are not? No
A follower of Christ follows Christ through His Holy Spirit, and His Holy Spirit teaches them all things about God, humanity, dark spirits, and heavenly spirits. (John 14:25-27) Through the Holy Spirit, we know Jesus is God's only begotten Son. That means Jesus is the only human from God and was conceived through the Holy Spirit. God gives all followers of Christ these truthful words in His given Bible through His Spirit of Truth. He put them in their minds. They do not come from their human thoughts or ways. (Hebrews 8:10-13) His Holy Spirit lives in the deepest part of our mind, which we cannot reach. This is how we know the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are One Holy Goodness far more significant than our humanity.
1 Corinthians 2:6-11 But we speak wisdom among the perfect; but not the wisdom of this age, or the rulers of this age, those being brought to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, having been hidden, which God predetermined before the ages for our glory; which not one of the rulers of this age has known. For if they had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory, according to what has been written, "Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor has it risen up in the heart of man, the glory which God has prepared for those that love Him. But God revealed them to us by His Spirit, for the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the things of a man within him? So also, no one has known the things of God except the Spirit of God.
We are also taught through the Holy Spirit our Heavenly Father, Jesus, and His Holy Spirit does not think the same as human do, and their ways are different than human ways. It amazes me how many humans follow a spiritual human-manufactured way to worship them when their (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit's) divine spiritual thoughts and ways come from a mind much more profound than our human mind. We are also taught by the Holy Spirit of Truth what is highly valued or good by human standards is detestable to God. It sounds like what we think is good produces rotten fruit!
Isaiah 55:8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts; nor are your ways My ways", says Jehovah. "As the heavens are high from the earth, so are My ways from your ways, and My thoughts from your thoughts."
Rest your mind on those words for a few minutes, and look how far the Earth is from the Heavens! God desired for Israel to look how they worshiped Him. He wanted them to look at all their ways compared to His. He wanted them to look at all the human spiritual traditions they followed that His Spirit and Word did not testify to. God teaches us through His Holy Spirit we must be truthful and not twist His Word or add or subtract from it. Today, God teaches us the same Word through the same Holy Spirit that was in Isaiah.
I searched through His Holy Spirit and found that Christmas, Advent, Holy Week, Lent, and Easter were significant traditions my family and I followed that God did not give us. I followed other human traditions that concerned money and how we raised money and made His body of believers look like a trade market, buying and selling our goods to pay for land, our church building, utilities, and helping the poor. The ideas seemed thrilling and good, but did they come from God? No, His ways and thoughts are much higher than ours, and what He produces is eternal. His way is through prayer, and we ask God what we need and receive all we need through those prayers. His way is much higher than our way of doing things. God teaches us through the Holy Spirit from Paul the devil does not always look evil. The dark spirit comes as an angel of light masquerading as Christ. (2 Corinthians 11)
So, if we know our Heavenly Father, His Son, Jesus the Christ, and the Holy Spirit are good, how can humans be good?
Jesus gave humans many ways to be good through the Holy Spirit of God when He spoke to the crowd on a mountainside. Jesus also taught us with human power, His ways are impossible to do, but with the faith and love God gives from Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, all is possible.
Galatians 6 Gives us teachings from the Holy Spirit through Paul on how humans can be good through Jesus God's way.
6:1 Brothers (and sisters), if a man is taken in some fault, you, the spiritual one, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering yourself, that you not also be tempted.
This is a goodness from God that most bodies of believers that call themselves believers do not do because they are afraid of hurting someone's feelings more than hurting God, or they do it too harshly. Meekness does not mean being timid. It means we remember who the great Ones are and where our strength comes from, our Heavenly Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are following them like all followers desire to follow them. That is why Paul tells us we must consider ourselves, or we will be tempted. That means we must consider how far Jesus and His given Holy Spirit have brought us, or we will fall into temptation too. Anytime we think we are higher or lower than others, we are not being meek, and this mindset opens a crack in our minds where sin creeps in as a snake creeps slowly in a warm sleeping bag undetected. If we follow the Holy Spirit, we are the spiritual ones, and we will gently restore the one that has been taken by sin like Jesus restores all of us, but it is still up to them to accept God's truth. As Jesus lived through the Holy Spirit, we live for our Heavenly Father as His child, not people.
6:2 Bear one another's burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ.
The law of Christ is to have faith in Him, giving us all things. One of His teachings He gives us through His Holy Spirit is to love our Heavenly Father with all our soul mind, heart mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. (Mark 12:28-31) Another is to love others as He has loved us. (John 15:12) Jesus loves us with the truth. He is truth, and he never wavered from God's truth. (John 1:17) Another way Jesus gives us His love is by helping us carry our burdens. (Matthew 11:28-30) If we are spiritually yoked with Christ and carry our burdens with His help, we should help carry the burdens others have through the same Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives us God's strength to carry our burdens and the burdens of others. Jesus carries the burdens of the whole world, and we can too, through Him. Without Him, we will be crushed and destroyed by them.
What is a burden? A burden is any problem a person faces they can't handle alone. Many have a wrong mindset and think receiving help from others is putting a burden on someone else they do not need. The right mindset of Christ is helping others through the Holy Spirit, and when we help through His given Holy Spirit, we will reap everlasting life from the Holy Spirit. Another wrong mindset is people help other people that can do it themselves, and they become enablers and block others from learning to make a sacrifice and carry their load.
6:6 But let the one being taught in the word share with the one teaching, in all good things.
This verse has a special place in my mind because I am His anointed teacher, and I love to hear all the good things the Holy Spirit has taught those I am teaching! We all are children taught by God! What God teaches us will be witnessed through the Father, His Son being His Word, and the Holy Spirit. When we do not have these three as our witnesses, it is another spirit we are following. The Holy Spirit teaches us through John to test every spirit because not all spirits come from God. (1 John 4)
6:8 For the one sowing to his flesh will reap corruption of the flesh. But the one sowing to the Spirit will reap everlasting life from the Spirit. But we should not lose heart in doing good, for in due time, we shall reap if we do not faint.
The Holy Spirit teaches us through Paul if we sow through our natural human nature, which is our human flesh, we will reap corruption. What is sowing? Sowing is to implant or introduce. We can introduce or implant any work, knowledge, idea, or wisdom from our natural human nature or flesh. So if we sow any spiritual knowledge, work, idea, or wisdom from our human nature, we will reap corruption because nothing from our human nature compares to God's given goodness through His Son by His Holy Spirit. The good news is that if we sow to the Holy Spirit from the Holy Spirit, we will experience ever-lasting life beyond ourselves and this world.
Now, through all this and much more is written in His Word, the only truth, way, and life for a human to be good are through our eternal Heavenly Father, His first begotten Son, and their given eternal Holy Spirit of Truth as One.
